Story
Breer’s story officially began in September 2018, when the co-founders unintentionally met at the briefing session for Enactus, a social innovation competition, at their University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).

Waste is not waste until you waste it
Food production is the biggest contributor to climate change and biodiversity loss, but one third of food is wasted.
Using surplus bread to replace malted barley in the brewing process, we are able to reduce the usage of water, energy and material in our brews, ultimately leading to reduced carbon dioxide emissions and landfill space saved. Our goal is to eradicate food wastage and promote its remonetization, brewing Breer that does good, tastes better.

We craft beverages that do good and taste even better by upcycling surplus ingredients into bold, planet-friendly brews. From Breer’s core beers that save food waste, to our wild limited-edition experiments, to SIP by Breer, our non-alcoholic line rooted in ESG, every sip is a step toward a more sustainable future.
