Breer partnered with Maxim’s to upcycle surplus bread and coffee grounds into the handcrafted BOB beer range. The series includes a Pale Ale made with white bread and a Coffee Stout brewed using both bread and coffee waste. Available exclusively across Maxim’s outlets, the collab turns food waste into flavorful craft beer. So far, 3.9 tonnes of bread and 1 tonne of coffee grounds have been saved, resulting in 40,000 liters brewed.
Breer teamed up with Maxim’s Group and 7-Eleven to create Coffee BOB, a canned craft beer brewed from upcycled coffee grounds collected from 7CAFÉ stores. With 7-Eleven’s retail network, the beer brought sustainable brewing to a wider audience, proving everyday waste can become premium flavor. The partnership highlights circularity, convenience, and scalable impact in one can.
Breer collaborated with Pizza Hut to upcycle surplus pizza crust from their factory operations into BASE, the world’s first pizza crust beer. This one-of-a-kind brew turns discarded dough into a smooth, malty craft beer with a hint of umami. The project showcases how staple fast-food waste can be transformed into a premium drinking experience rooted in sustainability.
Breer partnered with Hong Kong Tramways for their 120th anniversary, upcycling traditional egg tarts collected along tram routes into a limited-edition Egg Tart Cream Ale. A non-alcoholic curry fishball-inspired brew was also crafted for the occasion. Both drinks revived nostalgic Hong Kong flavors through sustainable brewing, celebrating local culture in every sip.
Breer worked with Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong for the BAM Festival, marking the launch of their EV product line. We upcycled local egg waffles to create a unique craft beer that highlighted both sustainability and iconic street-food flavor. The collab merged innovation in mobility with innovation in brewing, making the milestone refreshingly memorable.
Breer partnered with Swire Properties for the TCSM Beer Festival, collecting pandan leaves from their rooftop farm, The Loop at One Island East. Combined with upcycled white bread, the result was a Pandan Milkshake IPA with a vibrant green hue and rich umami profile. The beer celebrated local ingredients, urban farming, and creative sustainability in one summer pour.
